The DuPont Spruance manufacturing site sits along the James River in Richmond, Virginia. Built in 1929 to produce Rayon®, today Spruance is the largest DuPont manufacturing facility in the world.
Spruance employs more than 2,000 people, many of which are second and third-generation employees. It is one of the largest employers in Chesterfield County.
The site produces a wide range of consumer safety and protection products as well as solutions for the military, homeland security and law enforcement. Throughout its history, the Spruance site has supported countless non-profit organizations in the Richmond area through charitable giving and employee volunteerism.
